My dog won't eat his new food - help! Any topper or brand suggestions?

Hey everyone, my 4-year-old lab mix, Buddy, is being super stubborn about his new kibble. I switched him to a 'premium grain-free' brand last week (won't name names to avoid bias), and he just sniffs it and walks away. He's healthy otherwise, vet check was fine. Any tips to make it more appealing? Favorite toppers? Or should I just try another brand? Thanks!

As a devoted dog mom to three pups, I've been through this! First, make sure you transitioned slowly—mixing old and new food over 7-10 days. If you did, try warming it up with a bit of low-sodium broth or mixing in a spoonful of plain pumpkin (not pie filling!). lol welcome to the fussy pet club! My cat Mr. Whiskers does this ALL the time. For dogs, I've heard adding a little wet food or a raw egg (check with your vet first!) can help. Maybe Buddy just doesn't like the texture? My friend's dog only eats the small-bite kibble, hates the big chunks. Brands... idk, but I see ads for The Farmer's Dog a lot—might be worth a look? Cat lady here, but I dog-sit too! My sister's beagle is picky—she swears by sprinkling nutritional yeast or a dab of salmon oil on top. It's smelly (in a good way for pets!) and adds nutrients. Also, make sure you're not over-treating between meals; that can ruin their appetite. If Buddy's still turning up his nose, maybe try a sample pack from Chewy or Petco before committing to a big bag.
