Hey everyone, I'm at my wit's end here. My cat, Whiskers, is super picky and I recently switched him to a new brand of health supplement food recommended by my vet. He just sniffs it and walks away. I've tried mixing it with his old food, but he picks around it. Anyone have tips for getting a fussy cat to eat new food? Or maybe some good toppers to mix in? Brands that worked for your picky eaters?

Not a cat owner, but I've dealt with picky reptiles. Sometimes it's about texture or temperature. Have you tried warming the food slightly? For my bearded dragon, a little warmth makes all the difference. Also, maybe try a different form? If it's dry kibble, could you switch to wet food with supplements? Just a thought from the reptile side!

Ugh, I feel your pain! My cat, Luna, does the same thing. I found that sprinkling a little nutritional yeast or a tiny bit of tuna juice (the water from canned tuna, no salt added) on top works wonders. Also, the brand 'Feline Feast' has a supplement line that my cat actually likes - their chicken flavor one. Maybe try that? Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions! @BoxerBill243, warming it is a good idea - I'll try that tonight. @DobermanDan130, I've heard about nutritional yeast but never tried it. Does it have a strong smell? Luna sounds like she has similar tastes to Whiskers. I'll look into Feline Feast too. Anyone else have brand recs or topper ideas?
