Hey everyone, I'm at my wit's end here! My 2-year-old German Shepherd mix, Thor, destroys EVERY toy I give him within minutes. We've tried rubber toys, plush toys, rope toys - you name it, he shreds it. I'm worried about him swallowing pieces, plus it's getting expensive! Does anyone have recommendations for truly indestructible dog toys? I'm talking tank-level durability here. Thanks in advance!

lol welcome to the club! My bearded dragon doesn't have this problem (obviously) but my friend's pitbull does. She swears by those black Kong toys - the extreme ones. They're like $20 but last months instead of minutes. Also heard good things about Goughnuts toys - they have a safety indicator when they get chewed through. Maybe try those?

Thanks PugPatty! I've tried the regular Kongs but not the extreme ones - will check those out. My cats just look at Thor like he's insane when he destroys things (they're much more delicate with their toys lol). Anyone tried those West Paw toys? I've seen them advertised as indestructible but reviews are mixed.

My friend tried West Paw - her dog destroyed it in a week, but he's like 90lbs of pure muscle. She's had better luck with Nylabone's power chew line. Also, random tip: frozen carrots or ice cubes in a towel knot can be good distractions that won't break the bank when he needs to chew. Not exactly toys but might save you some $ between indestructible purchases!

Ooh frozen carrots is a great idea! Thor loves cold stuff. I'll try the Kong Extreme and maybe a Nylabone too. Thanks both! If anyone else has experience with super chewers, keep the suggestions coming. I'll report back on what survives Thor's jaws of destruction 😂
