Hey everyone, I'm at my wit's end with my little guy, Thumper. He's a 6-month-old mini lop bunny, and I can't get him to use his litter box consistently—he just goes wherever he feels like it! Also tried leash training so we could go outside safely, but he just freezes or chews the harness. Any tips from small pet owners? I've watched YouTube videos but nothing sticks.

LOL, sorry but I can't help laughing—my Akita learned to pee on command in like 2 days! But seriously, for small pets, I've heard bunnies are smart but stubborn. My friend had a rabbit and said you gotta put their poop in the litter box so they get the hint. Also, maybe skip the leash? Bunnies are prey animals, might stress them out too much. Good luck!

As a reptile guy, I feel you on the training struggles—my bearded dragon still won't eat veggies on cue! For bunnies, I read they're territorial. Try limiting their space at first, like a small pen with the litter box in one corner. They naturally pick a spot to go. For leashes, maybe try a comfy vest-style harness instead of neck ones? My snake doesn't need one, haha.

Ugh, training is the worst—my cat refuses to use anything but the most expensive litter. For your bunny, consistency is key! Clean accidents with vinegar to remove scent, and reward with treats when they use the box right. Leash training? Honestly, I'd focus on one thing at a time. Bunnies might not even enjoy walks like dogs do. Maybe just supervised playtime indoors?

Hi there! I rescue senior dogs, and patience is everything with training. For small animals like bunnies, they can be skittish. Try placing hay near the litter box—they like to munch and poop at the same time. Leash training takes time; start with just wearing the harness indoors for short periods. Don't force it, and use positive reinforcement. It might take weeks, but go slow. You got this!
