Looking for harness/leash/cage recommendations for my new Boxer puppy!

Hey everyone! Just brought home an 8-week-old Boxer puppy named Bruno. He's already super energetic and strong for his size! I'm looking for recommendations for a good harness and leash that can handle a growing Boxer - something durable but comfortable. Also thinking ahead about crate training - what size cage should I get? Any specific brands you swear by? Thanks in advance!

First off, congrats on the new pup! Boxers are amazing dogs. For harnesses, I'd recommend the Ruffwear Front Range - my Boxer, Tank, has had his for 2 years and it's held up great through all his pulling. Get the adjustable one so it grows with him. For crates, go bigger than you think - Boxers are medium-large dogs. I'd get a 42" crate now so you don't have to buy another in 6 months. Just use a divider while he's small. Oh, and completely unrelated but if you ever get into reptiles, I have great aquarium recommendations too! 😉

Omg puppies are so cute! I don't have dogs (I have 3 cats - Mittens, Whiskers, and Mr. Fluffybutt) but I do know that cats HATE harnesses. My neighbor has a big dog though and she uses something called a 'gentle leader'? Not sure if that's the same thing. For crates, my cats have these adorable little hidey-holes but they're probably too small for a Boxer. Maybe put a soft blanket in whatever you get? Cats love soft things!

Actually wait I just remembered - my sister has a Labrador and she got this really nice padded harness from Petsmart that has little bones on it! It was in the dog section obviously, not the cat section where I usually shop. Maybe check there? Also, make sure whatever leash you get is strong because big dogs can really pull! My cats would never pull on a leash... well, except that one time Mittens saw a squirrel...
