Hey everyone, I'm at my wit's end with my 2-year-old Siamese, Luna. She's been having accidents outside the litter box for weeks, and I tried leash training her for outdoor enrichment, but she just flops over and refuses to move. I've tried different litters, cleaned the box daily, even got a bigger one. For the leash, I started slow with just the harness indoors. Nothing works! Any advice from fellow cat owners? I'm worried she's stressed or something's wrong.

Oh man, I feel you! My terrier was a nightmare to potty train too, but cats are a whole different ballgame. For the litter box, have you tried moving it to a quieter spot? Sometimes they get spooked. Also, maybe a vet check? Could be a UTI. As for the leash... lol cats are stubborn! My friend's cat only tolerates it after months of treats and patience. Maybe try a different harness style? Good luck!

DobermanDan130, I've had cats my whole life! First, how many boxes do you have? Rule is one per cat plus one extra. Try unscented litter - some cats hate perfumes. For leash training, ditch the harness at first. Just let her wear it around the house for short periods with treats. It took my Maine Coon 6 months to walk nicely! Also, consider a catio if she likes outdoors. Hang in there!

Not a cat expert (I have bearded dragons lol), but reptiles can be picky too! For the potty issue, maybe she doesn't like the box texture? My lizards refuse certain substrates. Could try a softer litter. For the leash, maybe she's just not into it? Some pets never take to it. My friend's cat only uses pee pads by the door. Might be worth a shot if all else fails!
